The X Border 10k Reverse from Carlisle to Gretna is an excellent way to get fit in the New Year for anyone who is new to running or have loved running for while.

This event is one of a select few cross border runs anywhere in the world – it promises to be a fantastic event that’s suitable for both the experienced and the first time 10k runner! All finishers receive a medal, a goody bag and of course a fantastic welcome from supporters and spectators.

  • How long has the event been running?

    The event is now in its seventh year, and this will be the third time it's ran from England to Scotland!
    The X Border 10k was created by Mike James of Endurance Sports. Mike is also responsible for the resurgence in popularity of the Great Cumbrian Run which he organised between 2000 and 2008.
    Endurance Sports are also the organisers of the Gelt Gladiator, another fantastic local event
  • How many runners will there be?

    Last years event hosted 450 runners, ranging from club to fun runners. It's a great course and everybody is welcome.
  • When and where does it start?

    Runners should make their way to Kigmoor Park to pick up The run starts at 9am on Sunday 28 Jan 2018 from Kingmoor Park.
    Runners will be taken by bus back to Kingmoor Park from the finishing line.
  • What is the 10k Route?

    Open or Close
    The 10k starts 9am at Kingmoor Park and the course will see runners take the recently constructed road that runs parallel the M6 Motorway, as they run, jog or walk north to bonny Scotland to a heroes welcome at the Greens at Gretna Hotel.
  • How much is entry?

    Open or Close
    Prices are £15 for affiliated runners and £17 for unaffiliated runners. You can enter on the day of the event for £20.
